Match Report
I read the match report from our previous fixture against Wirral vets last week, they beat us 4-1, and it was fair to assume from the match report that i didn’t think much of our performance. This report is a bit more upbeat. Although as is often the case I can’t remember the details of all of the goals.
I do remember Squeaky’s back heel though, so that will make him happy. The game took on what is now becoming a familiar pattern, a close competitive game for 50 minutes or so, with the Ramblers in the ascendancy, and then a bit of a mauling for the last 30 minutes. Indeed our performances since the restart could be sponsored by Strava, there can be no better advertisement. Kinsey had a fine game in the centre of midfield, Lewis ran over people, around people, and through people, all four goals finished well, and squeaky bagged a hat trick to take more money from the pocket of Power in their side bet.
Foolishly Power has backed himself to keep clean sheets, you have to admire his optimism, I suppose. An all round good performance, our most complete since the restart, especially when you consider that we effectively finished the game with 9 men, Lewis and Hall both on one leg. On we go!
