Great performance with goals from Josh, Ted (first ever in an 11 a side game) and Ben Travis (x 2).
Ramblers enlisted the help of Kevin ‘The Dentist’ Bodey and Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Jones for this one and in a reasonably even first half found themselves 3-0 up (Eastham gifting a few goals and not finishing at the other end).
The captain made the inspired choice to put the pace back into midfield at half time and sure enough Eastham came back into the game getting to 3-2 before a fantastic finish by Ben Travis put us 4-2 ahead.
We seemed to coasting until the captain inexplicably launched the ball into the Ramblers net to set up a tight finish, settled with a great save from Barney a minute from time.
Cornflake & The Dentist were solid at the back, the Jackal patrolled the right touchline and Rabbit was burrowing around energetically up front, but we were without Diamond & Churchill. Other 4names to be revealed in the coming weeks…thanks also for Mark ‘Diggler’ Yates for coming along to support.
